EMT Testing

EMT Test site will be at Louisa County Middle School  1009 Davis Hwy Mineral, VA or St Anne Belfield School: 2132 Ivy Rd Charlottesville VA. Directions are listed below. Please check your Test Date to see where testing will be held.

All testing begins at 9:00 a.m. and any LATE arrivals will NOT be allowed to test. All applicants will need to bring a photo ID. FORMS NEEDED FOR BLS TESTING (pdf)

  • February 18 at Louisa County Middle School - CANCELLED
  • March 17 at St Anne Belfield
  • May 19 at Louisa County Middle School *
  • June 30 at St Anne Belfield
  • August 18 at Louisa County Middle School *
  • October 20 at St Anne Belfield
  • December 15 at Louisa County Middle School *

* Louisa County Middle School test sites have the correct test date but the site is tentative based on earthquake recovery. There may be a need to change locations as we get close to those dates.

Driving Directions From Charlottesville:

Louisa County Middle School from Charlottesville -  take I64E  to exit 143 onto VA-208E toward Louisa/Ferncliff. Follow 208E to Courthouse Road. Turn Left onto Courthouse Road. Follow to E Main St. Turn Right onto E Mail St. E Main st. turns into Davis Highway.

St Anne Belfield from Charlottesville - take I64 to exit 118B onto 29N. Exit onto Ivy Road. Follow the exit to the right. St Anne Belfield will be on your right. Follow the entrance to the Upper School.

Online Test Registration Application, OEMS Test Eligibility Letter and registration fees must be received by the TJEMS office TWO WEEKS PRIOR to the test date (ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS). We do not accept Credit cards, debit cards or Starter checks. Payment must be either cash or check ($35.00 fee will be applied to all returned checks). All registration fees will be $50.00 for initial testing, $25.00 for retesting 1 practical station and $50.00 for retesting 2 or more practical stations.  The written test is no charge. REFUNDS WILL ONLY BE GIVEN WITH A ONE (1) WEEK CANCELLATION PRIOR TO TEST DATE.  Please check e-mails consistantly for instruction about your test site.  Please review all the information above before pressing the SUBMIT button.
