Council Staff

Stephen Rea AAS NREMT-P:  Stephen Rea comes to TJEMS from North Carolina with an extensive background in prehospital emergency care. He has an AAS in Emergency Medical Science from Coastal Carolina Community College in Jacksonville, NC, is a Nationally Registered Paramedic and is currently attending Pfeiffer University pursing his BS in Health Care Management. He most recently worked at Piedmont EMS in South Carolina as a lead paramedic, field-training officer and Operations Manager for a hospital based service. Prior to this position, he was a lead paramedic at Union EMS in Monroe, NC for 11 years where he served in many capacities. Stephen served as the Child Safety Seat Coordinator, was a member of the EMS Color Guard, led a team to research pay scales of EMS as well as various other committees. Stephen was also a substitute teacher for Union County Public Schools and a soccer coach at various levels for many years. He is married to Jan Rea and has five children; Zach graduate of UNC Charlotte, Abbey graduate of Pfeiffer University, Jeffrey attends UNC Pembroke, Emily attends Central Elementary and Jenna attends Central Elementary. .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

Donna Evatt EMT-En:  Donna has been an active EMS provider since 1990 with Mineral Rescue Squad and has served as TJEMS Webmaster since 2002. Donna is a member of the regional CISM team and an EMT Instructor. .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

Linda G. Johnson NREMT-P:  Serving with the Council since 1989, Linda has been a very active member of the TJEMS regional system. A Life Member of the Charlottesville Albemerle Rescue Squad, Linda also serves with the Scottsville Rescue Squad and has served with the Western Albemerle Rescue Squad. Awarded the Governor's Award as Outstanding Pre-Hospital Instructor in 1999, Linda works to provide continuing education and advanced skills training to all BLS providers in the region on a monthly basis. .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

Darlene Rea EMT-I:  Darlene has been teaching with TJEMS for approximately 5 years as an instructor and she has assisted Linda for approximately 4 years. She has been in EMS since 1980 and is a life member of CARS and an active member as well. She has received several awards from CARS including the Joel Cochran Award. Darlene works as a nurse in a physician's office.
